Cleanse yourself

Did you miss me? I have taken a bit of a hiatus from blogging.

Let me get right to the point of this post. Cleansing. Cleansing of the house, of my friend's garage but most importantly my body.

Me and a friend are taking the As Seen On TV Dual-Action Cleanse.

I have actually been very excited about this. I secretly watched the entire infomercial and was a bit creeped out by the rep on the infomercial, Klee Irwin, seen below.

Even though Klee (what a name) creeped me out I read each review I could find. I even read all the negative reviews but still wanted to try it. So I was really excited when me and my friend went to GNC and spoke to a really nice employee and he gave us all the facts about each of their cleanses and he suggested the Dual Action Cleanse as it had Anti-gas and Anti Bloat Digestive Enzyme Blend.

The instructions are to take one of each of the pills once in the morning and once at night. It is supposed to help cleanse your colon. It is supposed to last 15 - 45 days depending on how much you need.

I won't gross you out and tell you about what happens when I go to the restroom but I will say that after the first day I was awoken out of a dead sleep with the urge to go to the restroom. It was not a pleasant feeling. I used the restroom 8 times within 5 hours. If the medicine is supposed to last 15 - 45 day, I am scared. I don't think I will be taking more than one pill in the morning and one at night....heck I might break down and just take one a day.

I swear my colon is already clean and Klee is just blowing smoke.

But because I spent money on this, I am going to get my money out of it. Let's see how long I can last.

Elation and Disappointment

I got my shoes today. The box was immediately ripped open and the shoes were slipped on my feet where they belong. I didn't get a picture of them on my feet yet but I will soon. Too cute with my tattoo as well.

After I got home from getting the kid of the bus, I sat out back and took my shoes off to inspect them in great detail. One thing that I was very upset about was the label in the shoe that states the sizes there was a stamp on it that read MADE IN CHINA.

WTF? China? Really? Beyotch Puleeeze!

The company touts being eco-friendly and how each shoe is completely recycled down to the sole of the shoe which is tire rubber that was on the way to the landfill. The company is also in California. The concept was made in the USA. I guess I was expecting too much.

I fell in love with my shoes because I thought they were made in the USA. Not one place on the website nor the box it comes in states anything about China....except the damn label in the shoe.

I am still loving the shoes, just not as much as I was before seeing the label. I am disappointed. :(

Watchmen

Me and the hubs went out on a date last night. I don't know if it was because it all seemed to work out well with planning or what but it was a heck of a time. We had a blast. There was good food and a killer flick.

We went to see Watchmen. I just love the comedian's smiley face.....I know it is a little morbid.

I was very impressed by the movie. There were some scenes that were majorly graphic like the prisoner scene and there were a ton of blue penis shots. I don't know why but there were. I won't lie.

I loved the plot and that it was set in the 1980's alternate reality.

Unfortunately, I hadn't read the book before hand. Fortunately, the hubs went and got it for us today. Totally cool! I am amazed at how the movie had a lot of the same shots as the comic.

I don't know if I would have been as glad about the movie if I had read the book first. Regardless, I am thrilled that I got to go out last night and watch a killer flick with the most incredible husband ever.

And a sidenote to the ladies who were in line before us wearing their flip-flops with socks (cause that really bothered me) and had their 4 or 5 year old son with them (which bothers me even more).....it is not appropriate to EVER take a child that young to a rated "R" movie. Seriously, NOT COOL!

I bet that child didn't get much sleep after watching it. There were some parts that were hard for me, a grown ass woman, to watch let alone a young boy.

ABC's of my world

A - A is for Anniversary weekend!

It was a perfect time with my husband. We had an absolute blast! We drove to Austin in a nice ride just the two of us. We stayed a great hotel that had the BEST breakfast evah! We had a suite and it came with chocolate covered strawberries, white chocoate swans with blueberries, champagne, and heart shaped brownies. I was in HEAVEN!

We went to 6th street in Austin and went to Woodrow's and I had the best Blue Moon beer(s) with a ton of oranges. They were heavenly.

Then we got all gussied up and went to dinner at the Oasis. It is a great restaurant overlooking Lake Travis. We got a table immediately. I was super impressed.

We shared a wonderful evening together and woke up the next morning ready to get home to see our son. Man did we miss that kid! He was the topic of many of our conversations.

B - would be for the Ball of Fire we saw shoot through the sky yesterday on the way out of town.

We stopped to get gas and while the pump was pumping we were sitting in the car staring off into space. We saw something that was beyond cool. Here is a video that someone got of it. The video doesn't do it justice. It burned for a very long time as it came through the atmosphere. It also made CNN.

"The Federal Aviation Administration has reported to local law enforcement that these events are being caused by falling satellite debris," the service said Friday. "These pieces of debris have been causing sonic booms, resulting in the vibrations being felt by some residents, as well as flashes of light across the sky. The cloud of debris is likely the result of the recent in-orbit collision of two satellites on Tuesday February 10, when Kosmos 2251 crashed into Iridium 33."

C - would be for Cancer.

I have mega HATE for the "C" word! Major hate!

My father just found out that after 10 years it has returned. I am not even ready to deal with this again. I know he isn't either. None of us are. We are all so numb. I can't even think about it. I can't even speak about it.

I have to put all my thoughts together and suck it up and get it together so that I can help my family through this. Again.

Apricot seeds here we come and maybe some shark cartlidge too. We will fight this beast and win....Again!

Thursday Trash Talk

Okay so I have decided I need to do some trash talking today. Since today is Thursday I thought it would be nice to start my Trash Talking Thursdays! I am mostly going to trash the trash TV shows......but if I have something else to talk about I will see fit to add it. So move on if you don't want to hear me go off on some crazy reality shows.....(yes my darling hubs....that means you!)

First off, Momma's Boys........what the hell Ryan Seacrest (the show's creator)? This show is the most ridiculous show I have watched. It is like a train wreck I can't NOT watch. NBC was smoking crack when they thought this show would be a good idea for them. Has anyone seen it? OMG! Seriously Becky..... 32 girls vying for the boys attention while their mother's watch.

I found this on NBC's website: "Momma's Boys" is a new dating series that centers on three possessive yet loving mothers who must help their complacent sons choose the perfect woman - and ultimately poses the question: "Who is really the most important woman in every man's life?"

There is one mother named "Momma B" and she is something else. She is the most racist person that actually let the cameras capture that raw side of her. If I was her family/son/husband I would be more than upset that is how she portrays herself and our family. Seriously, the lady didn't realize that there would be black and Asian women wanting to spend time to get to know her cute little white boy. (I wrote out a lot more but I decided that I don't want to put the time space into this lady and her views.) I will say that her son JoJo actually really liked a woman of color and it tore his mother up.

Rob and his mother, Esther, are Jewish. Esther doesn't want anyone for her little Rob that isn't Jewish. Esther is a direct descendant from holocaust survivors. Did she think there were going to be a ton of Jewish girls? I think there was only one, Lauren. Lauren just isn't doing it for little Robbie.
Michael's mother, Lorraine, is all about this one particular girl named Erica. Erica is a cute brunette girl that has Lorraine wrapped around her little finger. Michael hasn't seemed to interested since he really wants a blonde tramp.....but when he does. OOOHHHH.....Erica hasn't told Michael or Lorraine that she is 2008's Penthouse Pet of the year. HAHA! This is what has me hooked. I could care less about the other contestants but this is funny.

Another one of the women, Amanda, is a medical student. In the first episode they had Dana White with the UFC come and test the girls on their endurance so they had all of the girls working out. Then the guys came out to workout with the women and JoJo got really sick and had to be taken to the hospital. Amanda was there taking his temperature and consoling JoJo. When it came time for eliminations Jojo asked Amanda to go to the Virgin Islands with him and she turned him down because she like Michael better. Then she went back inside to see if she got a text message from Michael. She did.

The boys and their momma's are now in the Virgin Islands with 3 girls per boy. They got to go on dates and then they had to pick who they want to continue. So far, the momma's are NOT happy and we will see what happens next week on the Finale. It looks as if one of the momma's are standing with the girls asking her son to "pick" her instead of the floozies she is standing next too. Should be interesting.

If you are watching this horrible trash as I am, please de-lurk and leave me a comment .... (apparently I am late but it was de-lurking day this week.....let's make a week out of it!) Or just leave me a comment anyway to let me know you are out there.

Until next time....

Zune update

So apparently the Zune issue was a leap year issue and now the Zune is working. I have proof. I have a hubster that is laying in bed as I type this watching all of his million podcasts he has been waiting to see since yesterday.

Thank you MicroSoft. You made our family a little happier today!

1231

"Today will forever be known as 12/31."

Did you hear that all 1st generation Zunes all froze and died today? I wouldn't have believed it unless I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.

On Zune's forum on their website there are 271 pages (at the time this was posted) bitching about it. Few people want to sue MicroSoft. HAHAHAHA. Someone said that this was a terrorist attack. Hence the quote at the top.
It seems as the devices have all freaked out because of a leap year issue. Today isn't 365 it is 366.....so tomorrow they should all un-freak and carry on.
I will say it did piss a bunch of people off. So far I haven't had many problems with my ipod. :)

Good times, good times

Tonight, we went to some old friends house and just reconnected. It was much needed. We had fabulous fajitas and drank some cheap wine which was just perfect!

After dinner we got the kids a movie going and the adults went outside and sat around the fire pit and drank Hot Cocoa with the following....

mmmmmmmmm.......this is highly addictive. I highly recommend it.

I am definitely going to bed now.

nail polish - negative review

I am in dire need of a manicure/pedicure but we are trying to save money for our Colorado trip this Christmas so I went the other day to Target and found this nail polish for $.99. Instead of going with a trusted brand that I know I tried this new one.

Yesterday I painted my nails before the game. I noticed as soon as I applied it to the nail it immediately dried. I was a bit surprised but didn't think much about it. I went to the game and didn't notice much about my nails since I was the score keeper. I do promise that I did not bite my nails as I am prone to do during said games.
Today I got up and cleaned the messy kitchen. By the time I was done my nails were completely chipped. Not one nail did not have a major chip of the nail polish.
You get what you pay for. I would not use this nail polish unless you don't want it on longer than a day, if that.
